Took Thing1 to take his test for his learner's permit this morning.

He passed. I let him drive around parking lots for an hour afterward. He looked high when we were finished.

Dear God. Wasn't he in a stroller yesterday????

It's sort of funny, really. This is the one weekend a year when a crapload of locals stay at the oceanfront...in hotels. Most of us don't even come down here if we can avoid it during the summer season.

The reason? Sand soccer tournament for Thing1's team. So far, we're having a good one - One win, one loss. We've got one more game for sure ( Read more... )

Somehow I got conned into taking Thing1 down to the VB Oceanfront for his BFF's end-of-guitar-program concert from 7-10 tonight. And because we live JUST far enough away, I have to stay down there for the whole thing.

I weep.

I'm either an awesome mom or a fucking marshmallow.
